Psychedelic Psunday Night

A little something to tide you over …

William Penn Fyve — Swami. A fun little number from 1966, and one on which I took vocals at last night’s gig.

TC Atlantic — Faces. From the Twin Cities, these were one of those bands who never really broke through. I love the distorted Farfisa organ.

Sands — Listen to the Sky. A British band doing a nice anti-war song, with a musical dogfight at the end.

Cotton Mather — 40 Watt Solution. A bit more recent, this Austin band featured Robert Harrison, who now fronts the exceptional Future Clouds and Radar. Let the current hit your filament.

Masters of Reality — Belly Button Beanbag Plastic World. From a Ren and Stimpy episode, showing that one of my favorite bands can bring the funny through clouds of oregano-scented smoke. And as a bonus, here’s a track from their new album.

Psleep Psweetly.
