Back to Mondoville

Back at home after too many days on the road, taking care of unpleasant responsibilities balanced by some time with Mrs. M’s family, a reconnection with someone I never thought I’d hear from again, and a visit last night to one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. A note on that last part: It should probably come with a defibrillator, but if I had to pick a last meal, the Ramsey’s Hot Brown and a slice of brownie pie a la mode would be a strong contender.

The drive back from Mrs. M’s parents (where we collected the Spawn) is about six hours, so we typically stop at the halfway point and do a bit of shopping/leg-stretching (or is that the other way around? Hard to say.) In any case, I picked this up, a collection of horror comics and art from the pre-Code 1950s. I’ll let you know what I think.

In other good news, the Major is scheduled to leave the sandbox within the week. It’s good to be home again, and it’ll be good to have him home as well.

Now I must begin to surf the waves of 2010’s final Gradeapalooza. See you soon.
