… while I hate having to think about stuff like the pending U.S. health care disaster in the Christmas/New Year’s season, I suppose that’s why the government weasels this crap in at this time of year. So I call Alpheus’s commentary about “end-of-life counseling” to your attention. He asks some interesting questions.
… while the Prof hasn’t been to the movies of late, other folks have been thinking about them, and some interesting ideas come from the Naked Villain about the True Grit remake and the Sonic Charmer about the baleful impact of Shia LaBeouf (or as I like to call him, in my hommage to Daffy Duck, “Sleepy LaGoon.”)
… and the quote of the day comes from former Kentucky basketball star Bret Bearup: “Hugh Hefner, 84, got engaged to a Playboy playmate, 24, yesterday. The age difference won’t matter very much when she’s 32 and he’s…..dead.”
… I leave this post with one of the musical highlights of yesterday’s haul. I adore the melody and instrumentation, and it’s also cool that the drummer has two-thirds of my name.
