I went to tonight’s gig drugged up like Keith Moon at the Cow Palace, except that instead of gorilla tranks and Courvoisier, I was on antibiotics and Tylenol. The show went pretty well, I guess. The stage felt cramped (although I’m a big guy, so a lot of places feel cramped to me), and the sound was iffy — on the first song, every time I stepped on the bass drum I triggered someone’s reverb chamber — and combined with my ear infections, everything sounded like it was a million miles away. However, we got through our set okay, and broke in our new bassist, so it was satisfactory. And of course, it’s always fun to play an outdoor show and watch the little kids spin dancing in front of the stage — it ceases to be cute by the time they’re old enough to be hippies, but these kids were safely under the bar.
Grabbed dinner at Sonic after the show, and promptly dumped about 12 ounces of cola in my lap. So I made my way home, tired, earachy and sticky. But we played our own music, and we had a good time — so it’s a win.

Sorry about the soggy lap but I thought you guys were great. I could hardly take pictures because I couldn’t stand still long enough, and I wasn’t the only one. I talked to a couple of people who wanted to know who you guys were and where did you come from, etc. I had a wonderful time but any time I hang with you guys is always a blast.
Thanks, Sandy! BTW, what became of the CD’s?
