A Quick Look-In

Hello from Lost-in-the-Woods County, KY. Mrs. M is at the store and the Spawn is performing her morning ablutions, so I’m watching a little TV and poaching an Internet connection. A couple of quick observations:

Should the Gormogons see fit to grant me a satrapy one of these days, use of the expression “gal pal” will be punishable by bastinado.

Even though it’s as corny as Iowa, and even though liking it should get me kicked out of any gathering of medievalists, I think the Errol Flynn Adventures of Robin Hood is one of the most joyous films I know, and I adore it.  (Of course, this also helps):

Enjoy your day!

My boys are absolutely taken by Robin Hood Men in Tights. there’s your medievalist membership card going up in flames…

  4. We could perhaps arrange it so that everytime someone says “gal pal,” you receive $1. That will likely add up, you think?

Watched the film on your recommendation since I’d never seen it. I agree with your assessment of it as a joyous film, though I’m not as taken with it as you and will likely never watch it again. But it was an enjoyable hour and forty minutes.
