It’s A Man’s Life in the Lexicographical Community

As a fan of Samuel Johnson and as a frequent teacher of Mondoville’s History of the English Language (HotEL) course, and just as someone who loves words, I have both a professional and a personal interest in dictionaries. One of the coolest things I own (which I inherited from another medievalist) is the compact OED — the one that comes with the magnifying glass. In that spirit, I’d like to point you to this wonderful blog post from a lexicographer at Merriam-Webster.

This has been a public service announcement.
