One for the Birthday List

I wouldn’t normally buy a $100 book, but I’m sorely tempted to bite the bullet for this one. By all accounts, this seems to be the definitive book on American garage rock. The author, “Mop Top” Mike Markesich, has a blog where one can hear his accounts of life as a hard-core garageophile.

It’s only the price of a couple of box sets, or 8 CDs, or… well, my birthday is next month. If you want to get me a copy — or even one for yourself, you can buy it here.
