Neil Armstrong has died.

Farewell to one of my earliest heroes. I fear we shall not see his like again.

    The last embedded video compares the film taken during the landing with more recent Google shots of the same locations. (It seems the astronauts left a bit of rubbish behind.)

    Everyone in the country was glued to their television sets — if they had them. But what kept intruding that day was Ted Kennedy explaining how some young girl happened to drown in his car a couple days previously. Which made it all very odd to watch, all once.
