Meanwhile in Mondoville

… we’re introducing a tuition promise: If you come to Mondoville, your tuition isn’t going to go up for the four years that you’ll be here (although fees and room/board may be a bit more flexible.) I’m glad to see we’re doing what we can to hold the line a bit and help families plan their budgets.

An added bonus — both the young ladies in the linked video are current students of mine. Between kids like these and the beauty of the campus, you can see why I’m happy to be here.

That’s actually a very good idea – as a parent, I would strongly urge my college age children to include this in their thinking.

I know that in the 4 years our older daughter was an undergrad in the University of California system her tuition increased by ~50% – fortunately not a killer for us, but still several thousand dollars a year that we hadn’t budgeted for. And a lot harder for her classmates whose families were stretched by the original amount.

I applaud Mondoville for taking this step, and I hope that your school is rewarded by a surge of savvy students.
