Mrs. M testified yesterday, as did my brother’s third ex-wife and most recent ex-girlfriend. The defense started to present their case today, but we’re told we could get to closing statements as soon as Monday afternoon, and the judge still expects the case to conclude by Thursday, which I guess would have me on the road back to Mondoville on my birthday, which would be odd, I suppose, but things happen when they happen.
We still don’t know if my brother will testify in his own behalf. I’m still in the isolation booth, of course, which I figured would be the case anyway. It’s funny in a way — the bailiffs and other courthouse folks now know me on a first-name basis, and check in on me every so often. It’s very kind. And of course, Mrs. M, the Spawn and I are all borne up by your prayers and kind wishes.
In any case, I don’t really expect to be admitted to the courtroom until the closing statements, but I’ll be there in the morning. It’s where I need to be.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Stay strong.
