A Milepost

Tonight the jury recommended sentences of life without parole for my brother — one each for the murders of my mother and father. The official sentencing will take place on 12 November at 4 p.m.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I don’t know how I’ll feel tomorrow, or on the tomorrows after that, but tonight I am content. And that’s enough.

Smitty, you have been in my thoughts and prayers these past few weeks. I have been following your blog, but couldn’t seem to find the right words. I will continue to pray for you and your family. xo

Content is good. Content enough to stop blogging, not so good. A little bit of a burr under your saddle still, I hope.
