Home Again, and a Berries Bulletin

The Spawn and I decided to forego the third day of convention activities and return to Mondoville, which we did with only minor moments of terror when I couldn’t find our validated parking ticket, and with a brief stop for a frappuccino (for me) and some Krispy Kremes (for her) — both providers were at the same exit. So we made it home fine, and we’ve been leafing through some of the stuff we picked up. As always, it was great fun, but the best part (another “as always”) was getting to watch the Spawn having a great time, and getting to just hang with her for a couple of days. During the drives there and back, we listened to the CDs we used to listen to when I’d drive her to and from school, which set a perfect tone for the entire experience. To borrow an idea from my mom, I always wanted someone I could geek around with — I just didn’t know I’d end up growing my own. I’m already looking forward to next year, and the Spawn and Mrs. M have offered me a cosplay suggestion of my own. We shall see.

In other news, a radio station in Real City has informed me that they’ll be playing a track by the Berries tonight on their WXRY Unsigned show. So if you’re in the neighborhood at 8 p.m. Eastern this evening, tune in to 99.3 on your FM dial. Those of you at a greater distance can listen in online via the appropriate tab on the station’s home page. Thanks for tuning in — there and here.
