Quis Custodiet/Cui Bono?

Well, it appears the Mad Dog’s employer is in the news. Things seem to have gotten a bit out of hand in the renovation of the headquarters of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

As Ian Tuttle notes at NRO‘s Corner:

The renovated headquarters will include a new penthouse floor and an indoor waterfall. House Republicans say that, per the OIG report, the building will cost $590 per square foot — more than the Trump World Tower in New York City, the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, and the world’s tallest building, the BurjKhalifa in Dubai.

But remember — this is selfless public service, looking out for the little guy. It’s not at all like those horrid robber barons who only want to feather their own nests.

After all — the horrid robber barons actually have to meet budgets.
