Scene: Walking through a grocery, the Prof encounters two little boys. One is about seven, the other, maybe three years old, but exuding confidence with a bantam rooster strut. Our paths cross near a display of frozen pizza.
The three-year-old stops and looks at me, eyes widening a bit. He speaks.
“Yes, I am. Maybe one of these days, you’ll be big too.”
A half-second pause for consideration, and then the little guy smiles broadly, says a satisfied “Yeahhh,” and resumes his strutting, perhaps even more proudly.
As the Spawn would say, “Totes adorbz.”
