That’s the opening line of one of my favorite songs*, Blue Oyster Cult’s “Astronomy.”
And speaking of astronomy and the practitioners thereof, I’ve previously mentioned my de facto niece Marina Dunn, who is studying astronomy at the U of Arizona. Well, Marina and her partner-in-astronomy-and-crime Jenny Calahan have started a blog about what they study, why they do it, and their fondness for lip synchs, among other things. It’s called “Astro-Babes,” and you may find it here.

*= I refer only to the 1974 version, as presented here. The overproduced update on Imaginos disappoints me, and of Metallica’s cover, we. Will. Not. Speak.
