Well, I Am from Hermit-age

Back before the blog, I discovered a band called The Red Button. I reviewed their second album for an online magazine in 2011, but while I liked it, I thought the first album was amazing. It was in heavy rotation as I would take the Spawn to elementary school, and one of our favorite songs was a track called “Ooh, Girl” that sounded like a lost British Invasion relic.

Well, apparently Red Buttoneers Seth Swirsky and Mike Ruekberg agreed with us, as they’ve re-released the song with a special guest lead vocal from Peter Noone, once of Herman’s Hermits. Yes, Noone is older now — we all are, if we’re lucky — but his voice seems to fit the song beautifully. It’s a time machine in the form of a three-minute video. Here it is, and I hope you like it as much as I do.
